Anime I’d Really Like to See
This is a response post to [this].
Actually, what I’d like to see is easily stated. I’d like to see an animated film about Daft Punk, specifically about this incident that they say occurred to them:
“We did not decide to become robots, There was an accident in our studio. We were working on our sampler, and at exactly 9:09 a.m. on September 9, 1999, it exploded. When we regained consciousness, we discovered that we had become robots.” [here etc.]
This project would obviously be an ideal fit for Leiji Matsumoto (and I dare say the incident was for sure inspired by him) so I think Matsumoto should animate this film. Period.

There are sad robots and there are happy robots. Daft Punk are the happy kind.
Would watch, 100%. The premise is nice and tight too, wouldn’t need must extrapolating on specifically how they became robots either. Also, the soundtrack!

It should be linked to it somehow, is what I’d like to see.
it needs to be a sequel to Interstella 5555 somehow! they’d make it work!
Or a prequel, since the robots do show up in a cameo in 5555..
